Letter's Home

Many soldiers faced long days in the trenches and find themselves getting home sick very faced. Soldiers were able to right home to their loved ones and family, letters must go threw a censor before being shipped off for a family to read. The censors job was to read threw the letters and cross out any information that would not be allowed to be shared with family if by any change the letters were to end up in enemy hands.

 

Soldiers must not mention the following in letters:

  • Where they were stationed

  • How many soldiers were there

  • Names of any soldiers or officers

  • What weapons you had

  • Details of planned attacks

  • Soldiers who were injured

  • Soldiers who had died

  • Bad conditions


Soldiers also had an option to fill out a printed copy and cross out what they do not want leaving a message for their family.
